Unlock the Shrine is the first of many masterworks by Alexander Von Meilenwald. First discovering this project around the release of Foul Semen, I never properly sat down for a good decade simply due to song lengths in a whole discography. finally sitting down for the last year and deeply analyzing the albums, that was a mistake that cost me a decade listening to this amazing project. UTS showcases all of the elements that make his unique fusion of black/doom with perfect atmosphere. 4/5 ClassyMusicSnob

I bought this on CD ages ago and it didn't leave my car's rotation for a couple years. I Raised this Stone as a Ghastly Memorial is one of those songs I consider a perfect representation of my taste in music. erin

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf

following in the same vein as UTS, RUTI as in improvement in cohesion and futher melds the dark ambient atmosphere together with the metal, instead of having ambient tracks that set the atmosphere before the metal songs. there is so much to unpack from this album that really requires some dedicated listening. This album will challenge you to unravel its secrets and when they finally reveal themselves, you will be in absolute awe. TROBs first 2 albums are black metal essentials 5/5 ClassyMusicSnob
